Harold Provizer

Mr. Provizer for the past 40 years has been one of the nation’s leading insurance attorneys representing Brokers, Insurers, Reinsurers, Self-Insureds and others in all phases of their business activities. He has extensive experience in litigating many complex matters including Product Liability, Toxic Torts, Professional Liability, Environmental , Medical Malpractice, Class and Mass Tort actions. In addition to his trial experience he has extensive insurance industry experience in M&A and private equity transactions. His work has also extended to the restructuring of claims departments and extensive claims educational processes.

He has been a frequent lecturer to many national industry and academic institutions on a broad range of insurance topics and litigation issues. He has pioneered the establishment of ADR alternatives and legal fee alternatives to reduce the time and cost associated with litigation and mass tort claims. He is a frequent contributor to industry publications on a wide range of topics.

He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and has practiced in various State and Federal Courts including the Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has long been associated with the Defense Research Institute, Excess and Surplus Lines Claims Association, AAA and he serves on the board of several companies and industry entities.
